My Review –
Second Chance, the novel teaches about good karmas – good deeds. It is also teaches about the real wealth of life. The real wealth here is not what we possess properties or what we have earned but it’s the happiness and contentment that we feel comes from other’s blessings.
Here the main protagonist shekhar kapoor who did nothing right in his life. but as her mother did as a reward given by the god of justice, she ask for his son’s better life. So, as per his mother’s blessings, he many times got warning from the god of justice in order to live a good life and stop his wrong deeds. Here the scene of the hell is hilarious. Now sekhar can understand here the effect of good karmas and wrong deeds. Shekhar have seen the torments given in the hell that is too dangerous. And also feel the guilt and regret about his karmas so he changed after that. I think the concept of karma is somewhat different. As here described here we cannot minus our bad deeds to good deeds. We have to undergo for both. We have to suffer for bad doings and also we got rewarded for good karmas. But there is not minus system. Whatever but the explanation about the effect of karmas is quite good. I like the second part of the novel very much as and when shekhar comes back with new life to convert his wrong doings to good ones and also helps many of the people and earns lots of blessings and love in back.
Story plot is unique and captivating. The book didn’t allow me to leave until the last page. The Near Death Experience is a new thing I heard here and it’s really interesting to know about that. The characters portrayed are good and I really like the shekhar’s character when in first half an arrogant man and in second half a nice and loving man. We can actually feel the pain, anger, satisfaction every emotion described here. The title and cover match with the story line. Overall I really enjoyed the book and at the same time it taught me something good and made me joyous. So, my rating would be 5/5 stars.
